Adam Wainwright, throwing a shutout and striking out 12 in the Cardinals 8-0 win over the Brewers is Saturday's Player of the Day. Though Wainwright earns his Player of the Game and Player of the Day honor through pitching, he was also had the high Box-Toppers score among Cards' batters, going 3-for-3 at the plate with two RBIs.
Angels closer Michael Roth is American League Player of the Day. Roth struck out four over two innings and picked up the win as the Angels beat the Astros 5-4 in the bottom of the ninth on Albert Pujols' walk-off, two-run double.
Nick Swisher of the Indians was AL Batter of the Day. Swisher hit a two-run homer and went 2-for-2 and walked twice in the 9-4 win over the White Sox.
Wilin Rosario of the Rockies is NL Batter of the Day. Rosario went 4-for-5 with a two-run homer and three RBIs in the 9-5 win over the Padres.
Wainwright receives 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being named Player of the Day. Roth receives 1.7 for AL Player of the Day. Swisher receives 1.5 points for AL Batter of the Day. Rosario receives 1.5 points for NL Batter of the Day.
