Dodgers pitcher Julio Urías is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Urias struck out 10 over seven innings, allowing one run, one hit and one walk, in the 13-1 win over the Phillies.

Urias earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 26th among all players and ninth among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Mariners pitcher Bryce Miller struck out 10 over six innings, allowing one run, two hits and no walks, in the 2-1 win over the Athletics. Miller did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Mariners trailed when he exited.

Miller was pitching a perfect game, retiring the first 16 batters, until giving up a hit in the sixth inning. Athletics starting pitcher Mason Miller—not related—also pitched seven no-hit innings in Tuesday’s game.

This was Bryce Miller’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. It was also his Major League debut.

Miller earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, his first points, and ranks 32nd among AL pitchers.

Mountcastle earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 3.2 for the season, 23rd among all players and first among AL batters, passing previous leader Wander Franco of the Rays (3.0).

Ryan Mountcastle of the Orioles is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers AL Batter of the Day.

National League Batter of the Day—Elias Diaz of the Rockies homered and went 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in two runs, in the 3-2 win over the Brewers.

Diaz earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 2.5 for the season, ninth among NL batters.
