Also Saturday, Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt rises to fifth in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day

Peralta struck out 11 over 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run, four hits and two walks, in the 6-1 win over the Rangers.

Peralta earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 13.7 for the season, fourth among all players and second among National League pitchers, behind Spencer Strider of the Braves (17.4 points).

American League Player of the Day

Red Sox pitcher Kutter Crawford struck out five over six innings, allowing one run, one hit and two walks, in the 8-1 win over the Yankees.

Crawford earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 4.7 for the season, 54th among AL pitchers.

This is Ramirez’s second straight day earning Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors. He was also Player of the Game Friday in the 9-6, 10-inning win over the Angels (2B 3-5 R 2BI). Ramirez earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day Saturday and earned 1.0 point Friday, giving him 3.5 for the season, 49th among AL batters.

Blue Jays pitcher Chris Bassitt rises from ninth to fifth in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Saturday.

Bassitt (6IP 3H 3R 2ER BB 6K W in the 4-3 win over the Reds) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 13.4 for the season. He ranks third among AL pitchers, behind Shohei Ohtani of the Angels (18.4) and Kevin Gausman of the Blue Jays (14.7). While he has the same 13.4 point total as two other AL pitchers, Bassitt ranks ahead of them because he has more 2022 Box-Toppers points (11.0), compared to Pablo Lopez of the Twins (10.7) and Max Scherzer of the Rangers (10.0).
