Other category leaders remain the same as last week:

American League batting leader—Mike Trout of the Angels, 10.0 Box-Toppers points. (He ranks 22nd among all players.)
Several players in the four category top 10 lists involved in trade deadline deals are on different teams (some in different leagues) since last week’s player rankings report:
- David Price (13.1 Box-Toppers points, third among AL pitchers) moved from the Tigers to the Blue Jays.
- Johnny Cueto (10.8, ninth among AL pitchers) moved from the Reds to the Royals.
- Troy Tulowitzki (6.0, ninth among AL batters) moved from the Rockies to the Blue Jays.
So far this season, 595 different players have earned Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors. There are 270 players who have more than 2.0 Box-Toppers points.
About Box-Toppers—Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. In regular season games, players earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
