Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Friday, Brewers pitcher Eric Lauer rises to second place in Box-Toppers season player rankings—first among National League pitchers—after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Urias struck out five over five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and no walks, in the 4-1 win over the Phillies.

Urias earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 29th among all players and 11th among NL pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Rangers pitcher Martin Perez pitched a complete-game shutout, striking out five and allowing eight hits and one walk, in the 3-0 win over the Astros.
