Alcantara leads over second-place NL pitcher Kyle Wright of the Braves (7.7). Though Alcantara and Wright both have 7.7 points in 2022, Alcantara ranks higher because he has the most 2021 Box-Toppers points—9.7 vs. 0.0. Alcantara ranks fourth among all players.
National League batters—Pete Alonso of the Mets rises to the lead this week with 7.7 Box-Toppers points, passing last week’s leader Mookie Betts of the Dodgers (6.5), who falls to second place. Alonso ranks seventh among all players.
American League batters—Shohei Ohtani of the Angels leads the category for the seventh straight week with 8.0 Box-Toppers points, ahead of second-place Ty France of the Mariners (6.0). Ohtani earned no points in the past week and ranks second among all players.
