Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to third place in season player rankings.

Bibee struck out 12 over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 8-0 win over the Mariners.

Bibee earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 10.0 for the season, third among all players, behind Yankees pitcher Luis Gil (13.4 points) and Cubs pitcher Shota Imanaga (10.7 points). Bibee now ranks second among American League pitchers behind Gil.

Bibee becomes the third player this season to reach 10 Box-Toppers points. It is his first season with 10 or more points. In his 2023 rookie season, Bibee earned 8.7 points with the Guardians, 37th among AL pitchers.

National League Player of the Day is Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller.

Pirates pitcher Mitch Keller struck out seven over seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks, in the 1-0 win over the Reds. Keller did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the game was in a scoreless tie when he exited.

Keller earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 7.7 for the season, 20th among all players and 11th among NL pitchers.

National League Batter of the Day is Sean Murphy of the Braves.

Sanchez (HR 1-3 2R BI in the 4-3 win over the Cardinals) was also Player of the Game in Tuesday’s 9-8, 10-inning win over the Cardinals (HR 2B 3-5 2R 3BI).

He earned 1.0 Box-Toppers point each of the past two days and now has 4.5 for the season, sixth among NL batters.

Michael Toglia of the Rockies made his Box-Toppers debut Wednesday with his first career Player of the Game honor.

Michael Toglia of the Rockies made his Box-Toppers debut Wednesday with his first career Player of the Game honor.

Toglia (HR 3B 2-4 2R 3BI in the 7-6 win over the Dodgers) made his Major League debut Aug. 30, 2022, and was playing in his 104th career game.
