Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Verlander struck out nine over eight innings, allowing one run, two hits and one walk, in the 6-1 win over the Dodgers. Verlander retired the first 13 batters he faced.
