Jason Marquis of the Padres is National League Player of the Day. Marquis pitched eight shutout innings in the 1-0 win over the Marlins.
Kelly Johnson of the Rays is American League Batter of the Day. Johnson hit a two-run homer and went 3-for-4 in the 10-4 win over the Blue Jays.
Paul Goldschmidt of the Diamondbacks is National League Batter of the Day. Goldschmidt hit two homers and drove in three runs in the 3-2 win over the Dodgers.
Note: Mariners pitcher Felix Hernandez and Indians pitcher Justin Masterson were both named Players of the Game in their team's victories Wednesday and earned 1.0 Box-Toppers points. Both players now have 5.7 Box-Toppers points for the season. Hernandez now ranks sixth among all players for 2013 and Masterson ranks eighth.
