American League Player of the Day—Angels pitcher Garrett Richards struck out five over five innings, allowing one run, one hit and three walks, in the 5-3 win over the Royals.
National League Batter of the Day—Greg Garcia of the Cardinals hit two home runs and doubled in the 6-1 win over the Reds. Garcia went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in three runs.
American League Batter of the Day—Hanley Ramirez of the Red Sox homered, doubled and went 2-for-5, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 10-3 win over the Orioles.

Debut—J.P. Crawford of the Phillies made his Box-Toppers debut Saturday, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors.
