Also Monday, Marcell Ozuna of the Cardinals rises to lead National League batters in 2019 Box-Toppers points, passing previous leader Christian Yelich of the Brewers, after earning National League Batter of the Day honors.

Player of the Day—Ray struck out seven over six innings, allowing one run, one hit and four walks, in the 7-5 win over the Marlins. Ray did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Marlins took the lead after he exited.

Ray earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.7 for the season, 62nd among all players and 27th among NL pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Twins pitcher Jose Berrios struck out eight over 7 1/3 innings, allowing two runs, five hits and two walks, in the 5-3 win over the White Sox.

National League Batter of the Day—Marcell Ozuna of the Cardinals homered, doubled and went 2-for-4, scoring once and driving in four runs, in the 4-2 win over the Nationals.
