Padres pitcher Blake Snell is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Tuesday, Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff rises to third place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Snell struck out 10 over seven scoreless and hitless innings, allowing two walks, in the 3-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

Snell was pulled after 107 pitches despite having a no-hitter through seven innings. Padres relievers gave up three hits in the eighth and ninth innings, losing the combined no-hitter.

Snell earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 11.4 for the season, 19th among all players and 13th among National League pitchers.

Rankings—Brewers pitcher Brandon Woodruff rises from sixth to third place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Tuesday.

Woodruff (6IP 5H R 3BB 8K W in the 6-2 win over the Giants) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 17.1 for the season, second among NL pitchers, behind Max Scherzer of the Dodgers (17.4). While Woodruff has the same Box-Toppers point total as third-place NL pitcher Zack Wheeler (17.1), he ranks ahead because he has more 2020 Box-Toppers points (7.0 vs. 1.0).
