Padres pitcher Nick Pivetta is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Other Player of the Game winners Sunday include Jazz Chisholm Jr. of the Yankees, Rangers pitcher Jacob deGrom, Guardians pitcher Tanner Bibee and Nathaniel Lowe of the Nationals.

Pivetta struck out four over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 5-0 win over the Braves.

Pivetta earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season and now ranks third among all players.

Pivetta is one of six players with 2.0 Box-Toppers points in 2025. They are ranked based on their 2024 point totals and Pivetta has the third-most among the six—his 9.7 points in 2024 with the Red Sox ranked 30th among AL pitchers. deGrom’s best season was 2015 with the Mets, when he earned 22.4 Box-Toppers points, third overall and third among NL pitchers. In 2023, deGrom earned 7.7 Box-Toppers points with the Rangers, 41st among AL pitchers.

deGrom extended his streak in 2024, earning just 1.0 Box-Toppers point on Sept. 27, coming back after more than a year away recovering from elbow surgery. He earned his previous Box-Toppers point April 28, 2023.
