Padres pitcher Blake Snell is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.
Snell struck out 11 over six innings, allowing one run, three hits and two walks, in the 6-3 win over the Giants.
Snell earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks 231st among all players, 69th among National League pitchers.

This was also Harris’ Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Harris made his Major League debut May 28 and was playing in his 39th career game.
American League Batter of the Day—Jeimer Candelario of the Tigers homered and went 2-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 7-5 win over the White Sox.
Notable—Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler has the most 2022 Box-Toppers points among the 15 who earned Player of the Game honors Friday.
Wheeler (7IP 5H 0R BB 5K W in the 2-0 win over the Cardinals) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 8.7 for the season, 14th among all players and sixth among NL pitchers.
