Meanwhile, the Houston Astros rise to lead American League teams, passing the New York Yankees, who led AL teams for the past 13 weeks. Plus, the Atlanta Braves are the week’s hottest team, rising to second place overall.
Dodgers players have accumulated 99.2 Box-Toppers points, picking up 5.7 in the past week. They lead National League teams for the sixth straight week and have baseball’s best winning percentage (.692).
The Dodgers are led by pitcher Julio Urias (15.4 Box-Toppers points, fifth among all players and second among NL pitchers). Boston Red Sox, from 21st to 18th with 63.6 points, picking up 5.0 points in the past week.
Arizona Diamondbacks, from 23rd to 20th with 62.4 points, picking up 5.5 points in the past week.
The Colorado Rockies had the biggest decline among all teams, falling four spots from 19th to 23rd with 61.2 points, picking up 1.0 point in the past week.
The Oakland Athletics had a net loss of 0.5 points this week. While they won two of their seven games, picking up 2.5 Box-Toppers points, they released two players this week who had a combined 3.0 total points this season—Elvis Andrus (2.0) and Stephen Piscotty (1.0). The Athletics fall from 28th to 29th place with 41.7 points.
The Cincinnati Reds remain in 30th and last place for the fourth straight week with 37.0 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.0 points in the past week.
