American League Player of the Day
Mariners pitcher Bryce Miller struck out six over seven innings, allowing one run, four hits and no walks, in the 5-1 win over the White Sox.
Miller earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 9.4 for the season, sixth among all players and fifth among AL pitchers.
American League Batter of the Day
Corey Seager of the Rangers hit two doubles and went 4-for-5, scoring once and driving in three runs, in the 11-7 win over the Blue Jays.
Seager earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.2 for the season, fifth among AL batters.
Seager had a Box-Toppers game score of +3.0, same as another AL batter who won Player of the Game honors Sunday who also had a similar line score, Josh Naylor of the Guardians (2B 4-5 R 3BI in the 12-3 win over the Diamondbacks). Seager beat Naylor for AL Batter of the Day because he had two doubles while Naylor had one.
National League Batter of the Day
There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Sunday because the overall Player of the Day is NL batter Eddie Rosario.

About Box-Toppers
Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. In regular season games, players earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
