About Box-Toppers’ team abbreviations

Dexter Fowler of the Cardinals is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Fowler homered and went 4-for-5, scoring three times and driving in four runs, in the 13-5 win over the Brewers.

Fowler earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season and ranks 66th among all players, eighth among National League batters.

This was Fowler’s first Player of the Game honor since Sept. 21, 2017. He had no Box-Toppers points in 2018 after earning 9.0 in 2017, which was ninth among NL batters. It is also Fowler’s first-ever overall Box-Toppers Player of the Day honor. He has 29.0 career Box-Toppers points since 2010 and has earned NL Batter of the Day honors nine times (worth 1.5 points), but was never previously overall Player of the Day (worth 2.0 points) until Monday.

National League Batter of the Day—There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Monday because the overall Player of the Day is NL batter Dexter Fowler.

Notable—Mets pitcher Steven Matz has the most 2019 Box-Toppers points among Monday’s Player of the Game winners.

Debut—Yankees pitcher Jonathan Holder made his Box-Toppers debut Monday with his first career Player of the Game honor.
