Red Sox pitcher Nathan Eovaldi is Thursday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Eovaldi struck out six over seven scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks, in the 15-1 win over the Royals.

Eovaldi earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 6.7 for the season, 38th among all players and ninth among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes struck out five over 7 1/3 innings, allowing one run, four hits and one walk, in the 7-2 win over the Pirates.
