Mets pitcher Tylor Megill is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to first place in season player rankings.

Megill and Jose Ramirez of the Guardians on Tuesday became the first two players to win Box-Toppers Player of the Game honors for a second time this season.

Megill struck out five over 5 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 2-0 win over the Phillies.

Megill earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.7 for the season, rising to first place in season player rankings, passing previous leader, Padres pitcher Sean Manaea (2.0 points).

Megill was also National League Player of the Day on April 7.

Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers AL Player of the Day.

American League Player of the Day—Yankees pitcher Nestor Cortes struck out five over 4 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 4-0 win over the Blue Jays. Cortes did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because he did not pitch the required five innings for a starter to earn the win.

Cortes earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day.
