Royals pitcher Brady Singer is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Saturday, Astros pitcher Justin Verlander maintains second place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors. Also, Dodgers pitcher Julio Urias rises to ninth place in player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Singer struck out 12 over six innings, allowing two runs (one earned), three hits and two walks, in the 6-3 win over the Rays. Singer did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Rays tied the game after he exited.

Singer earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 5.0 for the season, 84th among all players and 28th among American League pitchers.

Diamondbacks pitcher Madison Bumgarner is Saturday’s Box-Toppers NL Player of the Day.

National League Player of the Day—Diamondbacks pitcher Madison Bumgarner struck out nine over eight innings, allowing two runs, four hits and no walks, in the 7-2 win over the Nationals.
