The Yankees, who led all teams for the previous seven weeks, remain in the lead of American League teams. Meanwhile, the Chicago Cubs are the week’s hottest team.

The Chicago Cubs are the week’s hottest team, picking up 8.7 Box-Toppers points in the past week, most of any team. The Cubs now have 50.1 Box-Toppers points for the season, rising from 27th to 24th in team rankings.
The Los Angeles Angels made the biggest jump in Box-Toppers team rankings this week, rising four spots from 21st to 17th with 61.6 Box-Toppers points, picking up 7.0 points in the past week.
Six teams each had two-spot declines, tied for the largest drop of the week—Atlanta Braves (from third to fifth), San Diego Padres (from fourth to sixth), Toronto Blue Jays (from ninth to 11th), Boston Red Sox (from 19th to 21st), Detroit Tigers (from 24th to 26th) and Oakland Athletics (from 26th to 28th).
The Athletics had a net decline of 1.0 Box-Toppers point from the previous week, falling to 42.2 Box-Toppers points. The Athletics lost all five games the played during the week and also released Jed Lowrie, who had earned 1.0 Box-Toppers point this season.
The Cincinnati Reds remain in 30th and last place for the third straight week with 35.0 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.0 points in the past week.
