Rays pitcher Shane Baz is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

National League Batter of the Day

Tyler Fitzgerald of the Giants hit a three-run homer, tripled, doubled and went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in three runs, in the 10-4 win over the Phillies.

This was Fitzgerald’s Box-Toppers debut, his first career Player of the Game honor. Fitzgerald made his Major League debut Sept. 21, 2023, and was playing in his 119th career game.

American League Batter of the Day

There is no AL Batter of the Day Monday because no AL batter won Player of the Game honors in the 10 games completed. It is the second straight day in which no AL batters won Player of the Game honors.
