Brewers' Kyle Lohse, Astros' Chris Carter top players for Wednesday, July 3

Brewers pitcher Kyle Lohse is Wednesday's Player of the Day. Lohse struck out seven over eight innings in the 4-1 win over the Nationals.

Chris Carter of the Astros is American League Player of the Day. Carter homered twice and drove in all four runs in the 4-1 win over the Rays. 

Matt Carpenter of the Cardinals is National League Batter of the Day. Carpenter homered, drove in three runs and went 3-for-6 in the 12-2 win over the Angels. 

Lohse receives 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day. Carter receives 1.7 for AL Player of the Day. Carpenter receives 1.5 for being NL Batter of the Day.
