With the Mets win, the team with the higher-ranked starting pitcher has won 15 of 21 postseason games this year—deGrom of the Mets (22.4) ranked ahead of Greinke of the Dodgers (20.7).
The Mets will now face the Chicago Cubs in the best-of-seven National League Championship Series beginning Saturday in New York.
