Kluber has 9.8 Box-Toppers points, seventh among all players. Salazar falls to fourth among AL pitchers with 8.8 points, 13th among all players.
The other three category leaders remain the same from last week:
National League pitchers—Kershaw’s 20.0 Box-Toppers points puts him ahead of second-place NL pitcher Johnny Cueto of the Giants (11.7).
American League batters—Manny Machado of the Orioles maintains his lead with 8.7 Box-Toppers points. He ranks 14th among all players.
National League batters—Eugenio Suarez of the Reds maintains his lead with 7.0 Box-Toppers points. He ranks 21st among all players.
Three players rose into Box-Toppers overall top 10 list since last week:
- Kluber (9.8) rises to seventh.
- Diamondbacks pitcher Zack Greinke (9.7) rises to eighth.
- Rangers pitcher Cole Hamels (9.4) rises to 10th.
Three players fell from Box-Toppers overall top 10 list since last week:
- Cubs pitcher John Lackey (9.4) fell from sixth to 11th. He had been in the top 10 the past two weeks.
- Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner (9.4) fell from seventh to 12th.
- Salazar (8.8) fell from eighth to 13th.

About Box-Toppers—Box-Toppers tracks who most helps their team win the most games. Using standard box score statistics, Box-Toppers uses a simple formula to determine a Player of the Game for each Major League Baseball game played. That player is the person who contributed most to his team’s win. In regular season games, players earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point for being named Player of the Game and can earn bonus points for being Player of the Day or top player or batter in their league for the day.
