Dbacks' Patrick Corbin tops players for Wednesday, April 4; Yankees' Severino rises to lead Box-Toppers rankings

Diamondbacks pitcher Patrick Corbin is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Wednesday, Yankees pitcher Luis Severino rises to first place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Corbin struck out 12 over 7 1/3 scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 3-0 win over the Dodgers.

Corbin earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 points for the season and rising to second place in Box-Toppers season player rankings.

Rankings—Yankees pitcher Luis Severino rises to first place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Wednesday.

Severino (7.1IP 5H 2R BB 7K W in the 7-2 win over the Rays) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 3.0 for the season, passing previous leader Paul DeJong of the Cardinals (2.5).
