Cahill struck out 12 over six scoreless innings, allowing four hits and one walk, in the 2-0, 12-inning win over the Orioles. Cahill picked up a no-decision and did not earn the win because the game was in a scoreless tie when he exited.

Cahill earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season and now ranks 38th in season player rankings, highest of any of the 15 who earned Player of the Game honors Saturday. Cahill ranks 15th among American League pitchers.

Scoring—Cahill earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day and Smith earns 1.7 points for being NL Player of the Day. Rosario and Crawford each earn 1.5 points for being their league’s Batter of the Day. All of Saturday’s other Players of the Game (listed in the chart below) earn 1.0 Box-Toppers point.
