Connor Joe of the Rockies is Box-Toppers Player of the Day in Tuesday’s spring training games.

Joe hit a three-run homer, doubled and went 2-for-2, scoring three times and driving in three runs, in the 11-7 win over the Reds.

Joe would have earned 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Box-Toppers Player of the Day if this were a regular season game. Because it’s a preseason exhibition game, no Box-Toppers points are awarded.

Joe made his Major League debut March 28, 2019, and has played in eight regular season games, but has yet to earn his first regular season Box-Toppers Player of the Game honor and so has 0.0 career Box-Toppers points.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Blue Jays is Box-Toppers AL Batter of the Day in Tuesday’s spring training games.

American League Batter of the Day—Vladimir Guerrero Jr. of the Blue Jays tripled and hit two doubles in the 14-5 win over the Phillies. Guerrero went 4-for-4, scoring twice and driving in three runs.

Guerrero would have earned 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day in a regular season day. He earned 1.0 Box-Toppers point in 2020. In 2019, he earned 6.2 points, sixth among AL third basemen.

National League Batter of the Day—There is no separate NL Batter of the Day for Tuesday because the overall Player of the Day is NL batter Connor Joe.
