White Sox players have accumulated 35.4 Box-Toppers points this season, picking up 4.5 points in the past week. The White Sox have baseball’s second-best winning percentage (.619), behind the San Francisco Giants (.636), who rank ninth in Box-Toppers team rankings with 29.0 Box-Toppers points, fourth among NL teams.
The White Sox are led by pitcher Carlos Rodon with 5.0 Box-Toppers points, who ranks 20th overall and fifth among American League pitchers. Jose Abreu leads White Sox batters with 4.0 Box-Toppers points, third among AL batters. Thirteen different White Sox players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2021.
The Padres rise to lead NL teams with 32.3 Box-Toppers points, picking up 7.7 in the past week, rising from 12th place to fourth overall, behind the White Sox, the New York Yankees (34.2) and the Rays (33.1). The Padres’ rise of eight spots in team rankings is tied with the Rays for the biggest jump of the week. The Padres have the NL’s second-best winning percentage (.614), behind the Giants (.636).
The Padres pass last week’s top NL team, the St. Louis Cardinals, who fall from third overall last week to eighth overall with 29.7 Box-Toppers points, picking up 3.0 points in the past week.
The Padres are led by pitcher Yu Darvish (7.7 Box-Toppers points), who ranks third overall and first among NL pitchers. Manny Machado leads Padres batters (2.5 points), eighth among NL batters. So far this season, 15 different Padres players have earned Box-Toppers points.
The Tampa Bay Rays are the week’s hottest team, picking up 8.4 Box-Toppers points in the past week, most of any team, giving them 33.1 points on the season, rising from 11th place last week to third place this week. The eight-spot rise in team rankings is tied for the biggest jump of the week with the Padres.
The Milwaukee Brewers had the biggest decline of the week, falling seven spots in team rankings from fifth last week to 12th this week with 28.3 Box-Toppers points, picking up 2.0 points in the past week.
The Colorado Rockies fall into 30th and last place in team rankings with 17.4 Box-Toppers points, picking up 1.5 points in the past week. They were ranked 28th last week. The Detroit Tigers, the lowest-rated team for the past three weeks, rise to 28th place with 19.9 points, picking up 5.7 points in the past week.
