Dodgers pitcher Trevor Bauer is Friday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to sixth place in season player rankings.
Also Friday, Adam Duvall of the Marlins rises to first place among National League batters in 2021 Box-Toppers points after earning NL Batter of the Day honors.
Player of the Day—Bauer struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and three walks, in the 3-0 win over the Diamondbacks.

American League Player of the Day—Angels pitcher Alex Cobb struck out eight over 5 2/3 innings, allowing one run (none earned), three hits and two walks, in the 11-3 win over the Tigers.
National League Batter of the Day—Adam Duvall of the Marlins hit two homers, including a grand slam, in the 10-2 win over the Cubs. Duvall went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in six runs.
Duvall earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being NL Batter of the Day, giving him 6.0 for the season, rising to first place among NL batters, passing previous leader Nick Castellanos of the Reds (5.5 points). Duvall ranks 32nd among all players.
American League Batter of the Day—Cedric Mullins of the Orioles hit two home runs, including a three-run shot, in the 7-1 win over the Blue Jays. Mullins went 3-for-4, scoring twice and driving in four runs.
Debut—Jason Vosler of the Giants made his Box-Toppers debut Friday with his first career Player of the Game honor.
Vosler (1-2 R BI in the 5-3 win over the Phillies) made his Major League debut April 24 and was playing in his 25th career game.
