Phillies pitcher Aaron Nola is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Nola struck out nine over 8 2/3 innings, allowing one run, four hits and no walks, in the 2-1 win over the Braves.

Nola earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 8.7 for the season, 27th among all players and 20th among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Royals pitcher Daniel Lynch struck out four over eight scoreless innings, allowing five hits and no walks, in the 6-1 win over the Tigers.

This was also Lynch’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Lynch made his Major League debut May 3 and was playing in his fourth career game.

Notable—White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn has the most 2021 Box-Toppers points among the 15 who earned Player of the Game honors Sunday.

Lynn (6IP 6H R 0BB 6K W in the 3-1 win over the Brewers) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 9.7 for the season, 11th among all players and fourth among AL pitchers.

Lynn also now has 101.4 career Box-Toppers points, 79th among all players since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995.
