Brewers’ Burnes tops players for Wednesday, Aug. 11; Red Sox’ Eovaldi tops AL players

Brewers pitcher Corbin Burnes is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Burnes struck out 15 over eight scoreless innings, allowing four hits and no walks, in the 10-0 win over the Cubs.

Burnes earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 12.1 for the season, 13th among all players and eighth among National League pitchers.

Burnes had a Box-Toppers game score Wednesday of +19.0, the fourth-highest by any Player of the Game winner so far in 2021. Here are the three that were higher:
