Twins pitcher Joe Ryan is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day, rising to third place in season player rankings.

Also Wednesday, Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez rises to ninth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning National League Player of the Day honors.

Player of the Day—Ryan struck out nine over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 5-0 win over the Tigers.

Ryan earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.7 for the season, rising to third among all players, behind Shohei Ohtani of the Angels (5.0 points) and Mets pitcher Tylor Megill (4.7 points). Ryan now ranks second among American League pitchers behind Ohtani.

Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers NL Player of the Day.

National League Player of the Day—Marlins pitcher Pablo Lopez struck out six over six scoreless innings, allowing three hits and one walk, in the 2-1 win over the Nationals.

Lopez earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being NL Player of the Day, giving him 3.7 for the season, rising to ninth in season player rankings, fifth among NL pitchers.

Taylor Ward of the Angels is Wednesday’s Box-Toppers AL Batter of the Day.

American League Batter of the Day—Taylor Ward of the Angels hit a grand slam, tripled and doubled in the 9-5 win over the Guardians. Ward went 3-for-4, scoring four times and driving in four runs.
