Winder earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks 74th among all players, 27th among American League pitchers.
This was Winder’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Winder made his Major League debut April 12 and was playing in his fourth career game.
National League Player of the Day—Cubs pitcher Marcus Stroman struck out five over seven scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 2-0 win over the Brewers.
Stroman earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season.

Trout has now earned Box-Toppers points in 12 straight seasons with this, his first Player of the Game honor of 2022. Trout earned his first Box-Toppers points in 2011 with the Angels and now has 77.7 career points, second among active AL batters, behind Miguel Cabrera of the Tigers (158.4). His best season was 2016 with the Angels when he had 12.5 Box-Toppers points, second among AL batters. He’s ranked among the top 10 AL batters in a season Box-Toppers points seven times, but has never led. Trout had 1.0 Box-Toppers point in his injury-shortened 2021 season, his lowest single-season total.
Rankings—Padres pitcher Joe Musgrove rises from seventh to second place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Sunday.
Musgrove (7IP 7H R 0BB 8K W in the 5-2 win over the Pirates) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 5.0 for the season. He now trails overall leader, Mets pitcher Tylor Megill (5.7) and also ranks second among NL pitchers behind Megill. While he has the same 5.0 point total as two other players (Shohei Ohtani of the Angels and Braves pitcher Kyle Wright), he ranks ahead of them on previous season Box-Toppers point total tiebreakers.
Debut—Two other players made their Box-Toppers debut Sunday, each with their first career Player of the Game honor:
Cardinals pitcher Ryan Helsley (2IP 0H 0R 0BB 4K Sv in the 7-5 win over the Diamondbacks) made his Major League debut April 16, 2019, and was playing in his 94th career game.
