Player of the Day
Fried pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout, striking out six and walking none, in the 5-0 win over the Marlins.
Fried earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks 47th among all players.
Fried earned 9.0 Box-Toppers points in 2023, 21st among National League pitchers.
American League Player of the Day
Tigers pitcher Kenta Maeda struck out five over five scoreless innings, allowing three hits and no walks, in the 4-2 win over the Rays. Maeda did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Rays took the lead after he exited.
