Also Monday, Luke Voit of the Yankees rises to seventh place in Box-Toppers season player rankings, first among American League batters, after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Gallen struck out eight over seven innings, allowing one run, three hits and one walk, in the 4-3 win over the Athletics. Gallen did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Athletics tied the game after he exited before the Diamondbacks took the lead in the bottom of the ninth.

Gallen earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 24th among all players and ninth among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day—Twins pitcher Devin Smeltzer struck out three over 2 2/3 innings of scoreless middle relief, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 4-1 win over the Royals.

Biggio earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 2.5 for the season, rising to sixth place among AL batters.

Rankings—Luke Voit of the Yankees rises to seventh place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors Monday.

Voit (2HR 2-4 2R 3BI in the 6-3 win over the Red Sox) earns 1.0 Box-Toppers point, giving him 4.5 for the season. He is the only batter currently among the top 10 in Box-Toppers season player rankings, displacing teammate Aaron Judge (4.0), who falls to 11th place.
