Angels pitcher Alex Cobb is Saturday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Saturday, White Sox pitcher Lance Lynn rises to ninth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Cobb struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing three hits and two walks, in the 4-0 win over the Athletics.

Cobb earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 81st among all players and 29th among American League pitchers.

National League Player of the Day—Mets pitcher Taijuan Walker struck out eight over five scoreless innings, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 13-2 win over the Braves.

Abreu earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.5 for the season, rising to second place among AL batters, behind J.D. Martinez of the Red Sox (6.2).
