Rockies pitcher German Marquez is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Tuesday, Indians pitcher Shane Bieber rises to 10th place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day—Marquez struck out seven over seven innings, allowing one run, two hits and two walks, in the 3-2, 11-inning win over the Rangers. Marquez did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Rangers tied the game after he exited.

Marquez earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.0 for the season, 49th among all players and 25th among National League pitchers.

Athletics pitcher Jesus Luzardo is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers AL Player of the Day.

American League Player of the Day—Athletics pitcher Jesus Luzardo struck out six over three scoreless innings of middle relief, allowing two hits and one walk, in the 12-6 win over the Mariners.

Juan Soto of the Nationals is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers NL Batter of the Day.

National League Batter of the Day—Juan Soto of the Nationals homered and went 3-for-4, scoring four times and driving in four runs, in the 11-6 win over the Braves.

Andrew Benintendi of the Royals is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers AL Batter of the Day.

American League Batter of the Day—Andrew Benintendi of the Royals hit a grand slam and went 2-for-5, scoring once and driving in five runs, in the 10-5 win over the Pirates.
