Peralta earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 5.4 for the season, ninth among all players and fifth among National League pitchers.
American League Player of the Day—White Sox pitcher Johnny Cueto struck out seven over six scoreless innings, allowing two hits and two walks, in the 5-3, 10-inning win over the Royals. Cueto did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Royals tied the game after he exited.
Cueto has now earned Box-Toppers points for 15 straight seasons with his first Player of the Game honor of 2022. Cueto’s streak is now tied for the fifth-longest currently active streak and is one of 50 such streaks of 15 or more seasons since Box-Toppers tracking began in 1995.

National League Batter of the Day—Curt Casali of the Giants hit two home runs, including a three-run shot, in the 7-6 win over the Rockies. Casali went 3-for-4, scoring three times and driving in four runs.
American League Batter of the Day—Jonah Heim of the Rangers homered and went 1-for-4, scoring twice and driving in two runs, in the 7-4 win over the Angels.
Heim earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.2 for the season, rising to sixth among AL batters.
Streak—Cubs pitcher Wade Miley has now earned Box-Toppers points in 11 straight seasons after earning his first Player of the Game honor of 2022 Monday.
