Reds pitcher Hunter Greene is Monday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Greene struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 7-0, seven-inning win over the Diamondbacks.

Greene earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and ranks 188th among all players and 64th among National League pitchers.

This was Greene’s Box-Toppers debut, the first time in his career he earned Player of the Game honors. Greene made his Major League debut April 10 and was playing in his 11th career game.

American League Player of the Day—Red Sox pitcher Michael Wacha pitched a complete-game, three-hit shutout, walking one and striking out six, in the 1-0 win over the Angels.

Wacha earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 4.4 for the season, 41st among all players and 17th among AL pitchers.
