Phillies lead
Phillies players have accumulated 48.7 Box-Toppers points so far this season, picking up 7.2 points in the past week, maintaining their overall lead ahead of the second-place Yankees (41.7 points) and leading National League teams ahead of the Los Angeles Dodgers (fourth place overall with 37.9 points).
The Phillies have baseball’s best winning percentage (.725) and are led by pitcher Ranger Suarez (9.4 points, second overall and first among NL pitchers). Phillies top batter is Bryson Stott (4.5 points, second among NL batters). Fourteen different Phillies players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2024.
Yankees lead AL teams
The New York Yankees lead AL teams in Box-Toppers rankings for the second week with 41.7 points, picking up 7.0 in the past week, holding steady in second place overall.
They rank ahead of the second-place AL team, the Kansas City Royals (third place overall with 40.1 points).
The Yankees have the AL’s best winning percentage (.673), second-best in baseball, behind the Phillies (.725).
The Yankees are led by pitcher Luis Gil (9.7 points, first overall). Yankees top batter is Juan Soto (4.5 points, first among AL batters). Fifteen different Yankees players have earned Box-Toppers points so far in 2024.
Hottest team: Royals
The Kansas City Royals are the week’s hottest team, picking up 7.5 points in the past week, most of any team, rising from fifth to third in team rankings with 40.1 points.
The Royals won all six of their games this week.
Biggest jump: Giants
The San Francisco Giants made the biggest jump in team rankings this week, rising eight spots from 19th to 11th place overall with 31.2 points, picking up 7.0 in the past week.
Biggest fall: Mets
The New York Mets had the biggest decline in rankings, falling seven spots from 17th to 24th with 25.4 points, picking up 1.0 point in the past week.
Last place: Marlins
The Miami Marlins rank 30th and last place in Box-Toppers team rankings for the third straight week with 18.5 Box-Toppers points, picking up 4.0 points in the past week.
