Mets pitcher Jose Quintana is Tuesday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Also Tuesday, Phillies pitcher Zack Wheeler rises to fourth place in Box-Toppers season player rankings after earning Player of the Game honors.

Player of the Day

Quintana struck out five over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and one walk, in the 7-5 win over the Nationals.

Quintana earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 7.0 for the season, 41st among all players and 18th among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day

Cal Raleigh of the Mariners hit two home runs, doubled and went 3-for-5, scoring three times and driving in four runs, in the 8-3 win over the Padres.

Raleigh earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, giving him 2.7 for the season, 31st among AL batters.

American League Player of the Day is Cal Raleigh of the Mariners.

National League Batter of the Day

Adam Duvall of the Braves hit a three-run homer and went 2-for-3, scoring twice and driving in three runs, in the 6-2 win over the Diamondbacks.

Duvall has now earned Box-Toppers points in 10 straight seasons with his first Player of the Game honor of 2024. He earned his first points in 2015 with the Reds and now has 39.7 career points, 21st among active NL batters and eighth among active NL outfielders. His best season was 2021 with the Marlins and Braves when he had 8.0 Box-Toppers points, seventh among NL batters. He had 4.7 points in 2023 with the Red Sox, 32nd among AL batters.
