Giants pitcher Blake Snell is Sunday’s Box-Toppers Player of the Day.

Snell struck out eight over seven scoreless innings, allowing one hit and no walks, in the 3-2 win over the Twins.

Snell retired the first 18 Twins batters he faced, giving up his only hit, a single to Manuel Margot, who was the first batter he faced in the seventh inning.

Snell did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because the Twins tied the game after he exited.

Snell earns 2.0 Box-Toppers points for being Player of the Day, giving him 3.0 for the season, 176th among all players and 61st among National League pitchers.

American League Player of the Day is Angels pitcher Carson Fulmer.

American League Player of the Day

Angels pitcher Carson Fulmer struck out seven over 4 2/3 scoreless and hitless innings, allowing one walk, in the 3-2 win over the Mariners.

Fulmer did not earn the win, picking up a no-decision, because he did not pitch the required five innings to earn the win. He threw 77 pitches.

Fulmer earns 1.7 Box-Toppers points for being AL Player of the Day, his first points of the season, and is 108th among AL pitchers.

This is Fulmer’s first Box-Toppers Player of the Game honor in more than six years. His last and only previous Player of the Game honor was Sept. 10, 2017, when he was with the White Sox. That was his 12th career game. Sunday was his 102nd career game.

Fulmer has played for several teams since he last won Player of the Game honors. He was with the White Sox through 2019, was with the Tigers and Orioles in 2020, the Reds in 2021 and has been with the Angels since 2023.

Fulmer now has 2.7 career Box-Toppers points.

Brent Rooker of the Athletics is Sunday’s American League Batter of the Day.

Brent Rooker of the Athletics hit two home runs, a sacrifice fly and went 2-for-2, scoring twice and driving in five runs, in the 18-3 win over the Phillies.

Rooker earns 1.5 Box-Toppers points for being AL Batter of the Day, giving him 5.0 for the season, sixth among AL batters.

National League Batter of the Day is Willy Adames of the Brewers.
